My mediation packages and fees
Three ways to work together, each at a clear fixed price.
Every package begins with a private, confidential meeting with each party. Each price covers the whole mediation, not a charge per person, and no VAT is added.

The per-person figure assumes costs are shared equally, though they can be split in any proportion, with separate invoices. For five or more parties, I’ll give a price on application. Other patterns of meetings can be arranged, and any time beyond the package is charged at the hourly rate below.
If you’re a family or an individual without an organisation behind you, please do ask – I can often offer a bespoke fee.

Terms
- Which rate applies. The rate depends on who is funding the mediation. Mediation paid for from public or charitable funds is charged at the publicly funded rate, whoever the organisation is. Where funding is mixed, the rate follows the commissioning organisation.
- Your proposal. The package, rate and estimated expenses are confirmed in your written proposal before you instruct me, and nothing is added without your agreement.
- Expenses. Online meetings carry no travel costs. For in-person work, travel and any overnight stay are estimated in your proposal. Venues are usually provided by the commissioner or parties.
- Impartial, whoever pays. I act impartially for everyone taking part. The paying party receives no report on the content of the mediation unless all parties agree.
- Legal representatives are welcome at private meetings, and at joint meetings where all parties agree. I can speak with representatives in advance to agree how they will take part and how any settlement will be recorded.
- Rearranging. Private meetings may be rearranged up to two days ahead, and joint meetings up to seven days ahead, at no charge. If a mediation does not go ahead after the commissioning call, commissioning time is billed at the hourly rate.
- Payment. Invoiced on case completion, payable within 30 days. Purchase order numbers are quoted on invoices.
- Existing proposals. Proposals issued before 1 November 2026 are honoured at the rates quoted.
