This session is for you if…

  • Conflict feels overwhelming, confusing or draining

  • You’re sensitive or neurodivergent and find relationships hard to navigate

  • You avoid conflict, over-accommodate, freeze or replay conversations afterwards

  • You’re experiencing distance, estrangement, loneliness or ongoing tension

  • You want to repair relationships or relate to others with more clarity and ease

I work with many people who care deeply about relationships, yet find conflict confusing or painful. This session grew out of that work – and out of my own lived experience of sensitivity, neurodivergence and difference.

Conflict can be deeply unsettling – especially if you’re sensitive, neurodivergent, or already feeling disconnected from others.

You might avoid difficult conversations, over-accommodate to keep the peace, freeze when things get tense, or replay interactions long after they’ve happened. Many people assume this means they’re “bad at conflict”.

In fact, it usually means you have a particular conflict style — one shaped by personality, nervous system responses and lived experience.

This free live session is an invitation to understand that style, and to explore how this awareness can support clearer communication, healthier boundaries and more meaningful connection.

What we’ll explore together

In this gentle, reflective live session, we’ll look at:

  • The different ways people tend to respond in conflict

  • How personality, nervous systems and past experiences shape our conflict style

  • Why misunderstandings and disconnection happen even with good intentions

  • How recognising your style – and others’ – can open new ways to communicate

  • Small, realistic shifts that can support repair, understanding and connection

This is about self-understanding, not self-blame.

What you can expect

  • A calm, welcoming space

  • Clear, accessible language

  • Real-life examples

  • No pressure to speak or share

  • Camera optional

  • You’re welcome to simply listen

This is not therapy, and there’s no fixing or forcing — just making sense of how we relate.

About the facilitator

The session is hosted by Arabella Tresilian, an accredited mediator and communication specialist who works with people navigating difficult relationships, conflict and moments of disconnection — particularly where sensitivity, neurodivergence or emotional overwhelm are present.
