Lunch & Learn: Prevent and Manage Conflict with Users of Public Services

A short, practical and compassionate session for professionals working with the public in high-pressure environments.

This 30-minute Lunch & Learn (with optional 15-30 minutes of Q&A) supports health and social care staff, NHS teams, GPs, police, council and community services to prevent unnecessary conflict and respond more confidently when conversations become difficult.

Drawing on real mediation experience in health and care settings, the session explores what truly drives conflict for people using public services, and offers simple, evidence-informed communication tools that can be used immediately in frontline work. It includes a dedicated focus on supporting people with learning disabilities and neurodivergent people, and on working well with families and unpaid carers.

Available as an online session, or in-person for venues within one hour of BA14.
