Lunch and Learn – Preventing and Managing Conflict in the Workplace

A short, practical and psychologically informed Lunch and Learn for organisations who want to address workplace conflict earlier, more humanely and more effectively.

This 30-minute session (with an optional 15–30 minutes of Q&A) is designed for HR professionals, managers, CEOs, team leaders and people managers working in any sector who regularly support colleagues through tension, disagreement, complaints or breakdowns in working relationships.

Drawing on real mediation practice, the session helps participants understand what actually sits underneath most colleague conflict, how everyday interactions can unintentionally escalate difficulties, and how early, light-touch conversations can prevent issues becoming formal and entrenched.

The session also explores how to approach concerns and grievances in a more psychologically informed way, reducing threat and defensiveness while still meeting organisational responsibilities, and clarifies the role of mediation as a constructive and timely option alongside internal processes.
